Items should be freshly laundered, in mint condition with no rips, holes, stains, pet fur, or odors. We prefer clothing on hangers or neatly folded in baskets or bins. Please refrain from bringing your items in trash bags.
Items that are current, classic, and on trend sell best for us. We choose to take items based on what our customers are buying and our store inventory levels. We are currently taking fall & winter clothing & accessories.
The market sets the price. We spend a lot of time researching the market, what sells, how long inventory will sit, and how much our customers are willing to pay. This includes the style, size, season, and current trends. With that in mind, our items are sold at 50%-80% off of the original price.
When you arrive with your items, we will ask you to fill out a short form. You are welcome to stay in store and shop or you may leave and we will text you when your buy is ready for pick up. We will sort through your items and present an offer with two options based on Amelia's in store resale value. 50% on an Amelia's gift card that never expires or 30% "cash" paid via check, venmo, $cashapp or paypal.
We require that your buy is picked up within 24 hours of when we finish your buy. If buys are not picked up within 24 hours, we will donate the items we cannot take and issue you a check for the items we can take in store. Your check will be available at the store buy counter to pick up any time you choose. We will however, attempt to contact you multiple times before donating your items. Note the check expires within 90 days.
Proof of authentication is required for designer items. We will provide a third party authentication service for $50.
